Conspiracies

GifMike:  What you got; Area 51, JFK, Water feuled car, AIDES purposfully manufactured, Cancer cure buried?  Let’s hear it.

Locke:  I’ll start with Cancer.  I don’t think it’s been cured I just think that noone is really looking for one.

Demosthenes:  So the conspiracy involves every single person working in the field of Cancer treatment and research?

Locke:  Yes.

Demosthenes:  Brilliant.  Now I want you to close your eyes and picture in your head every single person you know or have known that could absolutely keep a secret without fail.

Locke:  It’s not a conspiracy like that, it’s more a conspiracy of human nature.  Have you noticed a trend in all your major big business diseases?  Almost across the board they’ve come up with highly effective treatments that require an indefinate use of a certain drug cocktail or expensive medical procedure.

Demosthenes:  I assume you mean like the AIDES cocktails, yes they’ve improved many peoples lives and kept them alive.

Locke:  That’s my point.  The world ecomomy is a fragile thing.  AIDES and Cancer are big big business.  Those AIDES cocktails can not only keep you alive they make it so you can continue to work and make money.   BUT you MUST continue taking them to stay alive.  For the most part you now have to indefinatly pay rent on your life.   Cancer’s the same way and why?  Imagine if you will a cure for Cancer across the board.  No more need for treatments or scans or blood tests, not to mentions the myriad drugs from pain killers to blood thinners that would now be moot.  Think of all the jobs lost if Cancer were to suddenly disappear.  Eventually all those losses would be abosorbed by other industries, but not before a massive global Ressession or even an official Depression.  So for all intents and purposes we have the cures for many of these illnesses.  They’re just not permanant due to our greedy human nature.  I believe that all cures now will be in the form of what I like to call long term pay to play solutions.
