GifMike: This should be fun.

Locke:  I think peoples dependance on their invisible friend is pathetic.  The idea of living right just so you can recieve some heavenly reward or not doing wrong out of fear of some kind of punishment is vulgar.    The whole idea was just invented by the powers that be (or were) to control the behavior of the weak minded masses.  People need to wake up from the fairy tale and become responsible for their own actions.

Demosthenes:    I understand if you don’t wish to believe in a God or Creator, but I find it humorous that you would wish everyone else to also stop believing.  Have you ever heard the saying “If God didn’t exist it would be necessary to create him.”?  If God doesn’t exist everything is allowed.  How many people would you trust to actually control their more dangerous impulses without the idea of someone watching them?  Without God only the strong and those most willing to do violence can make any rules.

Locke:  You don’t give people enough credit.  People are smart, resourcful and determined.  The masses will always band together to put down violent and tyrannacal people.

Demosthenes:   To quote another wise man “A person is smart, but people are dumb, dangerous, paniky animals and you know it.”.(Agent K.)    I DO believe in an ultimate creator however.  Some say it’s ridiculous, but to me there are just too many miracles around us for all this to be just random evolving chemicals.  It all fits together too perfectly.  When things change, WE change.  Our bodies protect themselves, our minds file away our memories, our emotions enhance our appreciation of what is.  Something is guiding all this, I’m convinced of it.  There IS a higher purpose, we as humans just don’t have the capacity yet to comprehend it.

GifMike:  That’s a point of contention for me.  There’s nothing we can’t comprehend.  That’s like saying there’s a crime we can never solve.  There are certainly crimes we havn’t solved yet,  but we’ll get ‘em in the end.

Locke:   So exactly what purpose can you comprehend for us all?  Are we part of Gods body?  Are we fuel for the Cosmic Machine? 

GifMike:  For the most part I’m Agnostic, but I do believe it’s just as ridiculous to say God doesn’t exist as it is to say he absolutely does.  Everything on the subject can be nothing more than conjecture and theory.  I personally believe that we are all God, every particle in the Universe is and it’s possible we all just banded together out of boredom.  The secret to life is just that;  To exist.  Something is better than nothing and you’ve got to accept the pain with the pleasure because the alternative is horribly dull.   Either way the belief in God is just a way of looking at the world that’s not only harmless it’s often very helpful.  It’s an emotional and philosophical option;  and the more options and perspectives in my book the better. 

Locke:  That sounds suspicously like Star Wars again…

GifMike:  I’m telling you… How about an Alien experiment to bring all our planets resources to the surface by infesting it with humans who eventually overpopulate and choke themselves out leaving the planet free for easy harvest?
