Pet Peeves
GifMike: I’ll start us off with people who choose not to have kids calling their pets their children…
Locke: Democrats
Demosthenes: Republicans
GifMike: Guys who play chicks in video games. Either they like to have complete control over a hot woman like a pig or they are actually pretending to be one so other players will either hit on them or be nicer to them. Whichever reason in gamer circles we call this McWussy el fruity vaginafication.
Demosthenes: Parents who allow their child actors or actressess to participate in scenes of a sexual nature. That child is not old or mature enough to make the decision to mentally deal with that subject on a scene deadline basis. The parent that makes that choice for their child or allows it to be made for them by some director or producer is a monster.
Locke: People in traffic who think they are doing something polite for another driver but are actually being rude to 12 others. Keep traffic moving people, we’re all adults, we’ll survive without your charity. Stop trying to make yourself feel generous at other peoples expense.
GifMike: People who fall apart in a crisis and become a burdon to those around them right when they’re needed most.
GifMike: Oh and people who play as bad guys in video games or imagine themselves as one. I’ve tried hard to do it, but I just can’t. My Grandfather always said that we are who we are when we think noones watching. I would never let that person near me or my family.
Demosthenes: People who’s first instinct is to lie or assume others are lying. People always assume others are as honest or as ethical as themselves. You can tell volumes about somebody by their first reaction.
Locke: I abhor the saying ‘Judge people by their actions’ That’s not at all true. That’s the only way a seperate person can measure your character in any way, but we are actually judged by our motavations. Donate a hospital wing or give away cars all you like, but if you do it for a thank you or a tax dodge or to get your picture in the paper or to get elected or just to garner yourself a little attention to forward your career or agenda, it means less than nothing and actually diminishes you in many ways.
GifMike: lol, harsh.
GifMike: How about idiots who state opinions but can’t argue both sides, showing that they picked a side based on what they wanted rather than on any real information.
Demosthenes: Parents who decide what their children should be, rather than help develop who they are. Children are not an extension of you. The only true job of a parent is to train them to be self reliant, responsible, competent people, who can exist and contribute whether you’re around or not.
Locke: I agree with that and further parents that don’t allow their kids to make their own mistakes make me sick. Sometimes you have to stand back and let things happen and let them learn their own lessons. Otherwise you end up with an immature, unprepared drain on society.
GifMike: People who recieve honorary doctrates having others call them Doctor. You’re creating a life destined to be a running gag.
